WE ALL NEED THERAPY!

You get therapy! And you get therapy! And we all NEED therapy! This Monday deepo means a lot to me. It’s a subject that if you ask my friends, I cannot stop talking about. And that’s because it’s been the greatest gift I’ve given myself and I’ve personally experienced the benefits of going consistently. I want to be a part of the story that destigmatizes going to sit on a couch to talk about all our feels. I want to empower us all to take that step and invest in our mental and emotional health. The truth is, I finally started after years of believing it would be powerful. It took me YEARSSS to take the first step and finally make that appointment. But when I did, it was clear that it was going to be transformative from the first appointment . When I first started going, I was feeling heartbroken, disappointed, anxious about my future and honestly felt like I was having a quarter life crisis! LOL that probably sounds dramatic, but I was overwhelmed and needed to make some changes. Therapy helped me create a personal toolbox. And my toolbox is being filled with tools that help me combat the lows that naturally come with this life. Now, I’m more self aware, confident and feel like my bounce back game is stronger than ever before. I hope today’s deepo encourages you to make that call, get on that therapy app, reach out to that church counselor or however you’re able to get “that couch time” in. Right now, more than ever before, we HAVE to be taking inventory of our emotions, our triggers and taking care of our hearts and spirits the best way we can. I ultimately, would love for us to get to a point where we stop waiting on things to fall apart to make that appointment. So, whether things are feeling ok, good, great or completely messy right now; TAKE THE FIRST STEP! I dare you :) .
